Work, Wine, Weekend by @theemasphere

December 21, 2016

As I keep mentioning in my articles, and you’re probably so sick of me saying, I love versatile fashion.

So babes, I have come up with a fabulous idea!

What better way to share this love with you all than to start a brand new series on The Emasphere, all about versatility.

Work, Wine, Weekend, is my new article series where I’ll be showing you how to take one item, be it clothing, an accessory, shoes, or jewellery, and style it for, yes you guessed it, work, wine time, and the weekend.

To kick things off, I’ve decided to start with the QUEEN of all versatility…black pants.

With the help of a few gorgeous key pieces from F+F, and a change of shoes and accessories, I’ve easily transformed black pants into three looks, for the three different occasions.

Teaming black pants with a black lace blouse will always be a winning combination. Obviously, as this look has to be ‘work appropriate’, you want to pop a black singlet underneath the top to ensure you’re not too ‘riskaay’. Matching with stylish pointed pumps, a military coat and a tote bag, will make the look polished and perfect for your #GirlBoss day.

You can now totally afford to be a little more ‘riskaay’, babes! Take off the singlet you’re wearing underneath the lace blouse, and rock a black lace bra instead. Pop on a velvet jacket, statement jewels, fun booties, and a touch of red lippy, and you’ll be instantly ready to sip your vino in style!

Time to relaaaax! Cuff your black pants and show off those ankles! Team with a white top, denim jacket and white sneakers, and you’ll be heading off on your weekend coffee dates looking cool and feeling super comfortable.

Which look do you prefer? Work, Wine, or Weekend? Xx

There's a never a season that passes without the trench being reinvented on the runway, lighter fabrics in the spring with a more duster feel and then heavy, indulgent designs in the winter. The trench is classic and versatile, it's a piece I've now deemed a staple in my wardrobe...
