The whole idea of transitioning into fall might seem so out of reach for some of us, especially here in Portland since it finally started to really warm up this week! But we're not far from those warm days that turn into chilly nights. I actually love the end of summer but it can be difficult to figure out what to wear during it. So I've decided to share some ideas of how you can rethink your summer closet and make it a little more fall friendly!Ways to transition your summer pieces to fall:
1. Maxi/Midi dresses:
These are perfect for both summer and fall! This one I am wearing is great light enough for warmer days but the long sleeve and length make it fall friendly as well.2. Bring out those ankle boots!
Some people don't like wearing boots in the summer, which is fine, I actually love it! But they're great for transitioning those summer dresses into more fall appropriate looks! 3. Try more fall inspired colors:
Jewel tones and neutrals always remind me of fall and it's the perfect way to slowly reintroduce your wardrobe to a fall mindset. I think this dress is a good example! I can't wait to wear it throughout the next couple of months!
Those are just a couple of tips for ideas on how to get your summer wardrobe a little more on track for fall! I hope they helped! Let me know what you guys think and if you have any other great tips too! What I'm Wearing:
