Dressing Down The Slip Dress by @dotsandhoney

August 04, 2016

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all enjoyed a lovely weekend! I enjoyed a relaxing week myself as I was able to get away on vacation to Paso Robles to go wine tasting with the hubby and our little doggie. The wineries up in Paso are more casual and dog-friendly, which was why we opted to go to Paso Robles to celebrate our 4-year anniversary so that we can bring Lexie. =) More on our latest Paso Robles trip will be coming to the blog soon, but in the mean time, you can read up on our first trip to Paso here and here!

Obviously celebrating our anniversary is my good week! Let’s see bad week…I finally got my Invisilign! However, I completely forgot that my teeth would be sore, just as sore as they were back in high school when I got the metal braces. =/ Whatever excitement I had for getting my Invisilign is completely vanished now. I’m dreading my next appointment where they will be giving me my new trays, aka, more soreness to come. Ugh.

Remember my last post about rocking the slip dress trend? I am sharing with you today a more casual look to this slip dress trend by dressing it down with a pair of sneakers (my favorite way to style a slip dress!). I always love the unexpected juxtaposition of  sporty and feminine vibes of an outfit. =) Tie a sweater around your waist for the cooler summer nights and you’re all set! What do you guys think about the slip dress trend??

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Spring is officially here! And during this transitional time when it’s not quite warm enough to wear shorts, but you still want to feel that summer is around the corner, florals are the perfect way to greet the warmer climate.

Earth tones ftw-- especially when buying classic silhouettes! I tend to keep things neutral when buying items that I know I will wear for a long time.... but when I buy more trendy items, it's fun to add in some color!
